The Burundi Business Registration Project aims to simplify and digitize the process of starting a business in Burundi by deploying a modern, fully online single window for business registration.

The Burundi Business Registration Project is a key government initiative to modernize and simplify how businesses are registered in the country. Led by the Burundi Development Agency (ADB) with support from UNCTAD and the World Bank Group, the project launched Easybusiness.bi — a fully online platform that streamlines business creation and enhances transparency. It aims to boost formal entrepreneurship, attract investment, and strengthen institutional capacity through digital public services.

The easybusiness.bi platform represents a major step forward in modernizing public services and building investor confidence in Burundi’s business environment.
