Benin Business Registration Project

Benin Business Registration Project

The Benin Business Registration Project transforms the process of starting a business by offering a fully online single window for business registration, accessible at monentreprise.bj.

Implemented by the Agence de Promotion des Investissements et des Exportations (APIEx) with technical support from UNCTAD and financial support from the Government of the Netherlands, the system was developed under UNCTAD’s Business Facilitation Programme to improve access to formal entrepreneurship in Benin.

This groundbreaking initiative positions Benin among a select group of countries offering 100% online business registration, and is a milestone in digital governance, economic resilience, and inclusive development.

  • Real-time data capture for policy-making, including gender-disaggregated statistics
